Hope’s incredible journey. Hope was found paralyzed, covered in her own urine and feces. She was skin and bone. It took three baths to clean her and all her hair fell out. Her skin was totally burnt by urine and she had cancerous tumors. She was never able to fully regain strength in her rear legs, and enjoyed a little help from her friends to get around. She had surgery to remove two tumors and lived a dignified life, free of hunger and filth. Hope is no longer with us, but it is sunny moments like this that make everything worthwhile. Her story has inspired many, including a memorial painting
